Directory methodology

How NLPCompanies.com decides what belongs in the directory.

The directory is built around source-backed NLP Offering evidence, buyer-oriented categories, and clear separation between factual listing status and commercial visibility.

Listing definitions

These terms govern the first version of the site.

NLP Company

A company whose product or service turns text or transcribed language into structured language-understanding outputs such as entities, classifications, sentiment, topics, summaries, semantic search results, relationships, knowledge graph facts, or compliance signals.

Directory Listing

A source-backed record that a company has at least one qualifying NLP Offering and belongs in one or more Buyer Categories. A Directory Listing is not a recommendation, ranking, certification, or endorsement.

Verified Listing

A Directory Listing whose source links, company status, qualifying NLP Offering, and assigned Buyer Categories have been checked for current factual accuracy. It is a verification status, not a quality certification or endorsement.

Sponsored Placement

A clearly disclosed paid placement that may promote visibility but must not change Directory Listing eligibility, Verified Listing status, editorial methodology, or ranking criteria.

First-version monetization boundary

The first version monetizes through B2B inquiry capture and vendor shortlist requests, not paid inclusion. The site should not sell Featured Listing inventory or let a vendor pay to become eligible for inclusion, verification, or editorial ranking.
